Yes! The Student Housing Office begins accepting room change requests after the Census date in the fall and spring semesters. Requests are processed on a first-come, first-served basis and depend on room availability.
If you are experiencing a conflict with your roommate, your Residence Director will discuss mediation options before approving a room change.
A $40 room change fee will be added to your student account once the room change is approved.
Room and meal plan adjustments
- If you move to a room with a different housing rate, your student account will be prorated accordingly based on the cost difference of your new room assignment.
- If you move from an apartment to a residence hall, you will automatically be assigned the 19-meal plan.
- If you move from a residence hall to an apartment, you may request to cancel your meal plan.
Checkout requirement
- If your request is approved, you'll have 48 hours after the given date to move into your new room.
- You must check out of your old assignment with your Resident Assistant. Failure to properly check out will result in charges for a lock change and a failure-to-check-out fee.
