Balanced Life Choices
Students will achieve balance between educational, recreational, professional, interpersonal and spiritual pursuits in order to become well-rounded individuals. Students will gain the skills to make healthy life choices.
- Students who are involved with Student Engagement are less likely to report overwhelming anxiety.
Critical Work Skills
Students will develop and enhance life skills such as critical thinking, collaboration, and communication.
- Students who are involved with the Division of Student Engagement will demonstrate the ability to articulate growth in Career Readiness Competency Skills as outlined by the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) to prepare them for life beyond FLC. These skills are:

Cultural Competence
Students will develop an appreciation and awareness of differences and similarities among cultures, as well as the ability to navigate cultural and social systems without prejudice.
- Students who are involved with Student Engagement will demonstrate a good understanding, acknowledgement, and acceptance of cultural differences that make each student unique.
