A student-led movement for civic engagement

SkyPEP is driven by the passion and leadership of our students through the Fort Lewis College Political Engagement Project (PEP)—a nonpartisan, student-led organization empowering Skyhawks to stay informed and take action, from voting and advocacy to community involvement.

This school-wide initiative, a collaboration between PEP, the SkyWords Visiting Writers Series, and Academic Affairs, brings our community together to explore our roles as citizens and shape a brighter future. SkyPEP encourages active participation in democracy, drawing on the rich, diverse experiences of FLC and the Four Corners region. Together, we foster inclusive citizenship and a shared commitment to democratic values.
