Zambia is in the south-central portion of the African continent, and VAP completed initial projects in the Southern Provence, Mazabuka District. A sizeable multi-national sugar corporation has displaced the people in these communities from their original living location. In addition to being extremely poor, these communities have minimal access to clean water and reliable means for much of the population to safely cross the river to get to the shred school and clinic.
