Fort Lewis College Athletics hosted The Skyler’s and also a spring Hall of Fame ceremony, honoring student-athletes from this year while inducting an all-soccer class to honor the rich history of Skyhawks soccer.

On May 25, the Animas City Theatre in Durango hosted the Protect the Dolores Film Tour, presenting the film “The River of Sorrows." The film screening was followed by a Q&A session with a panel of experts on the subject, including Brett Davis, director of Outdoor Pursuits.

David Gonzales, professor of Geosciences, chimed in on an article in GMTODAY on the geologic significance of the American West. “I tell my students all the time that geology is life,” he said.

Fourteen graduates and more than 200 guests crowded into the FLC Student Union Ballroom on May 20 for the 2023 Native American graduation ceremony. The Title VI Native American Parent Advisory Committee organized the ceremony that honored Indigenous graduates from Durango High School and Big Picture High School.
